Delhi 10-yr-old rape & murder: How father’s memory, digital trail led police to suspected cabbie

A father’s fragmented memory of a white car and a yellow plate initiated a swift investigation. Investigators pieced together a digital trail, including CCTV footage and cab aggregator data, to track down Basu Kumar Singh, a driver accused of abducting, raping, and murdering a 10-year-old girl. The suspect was apprehended within seven hours of the initial report, later confessing to the heinous crime.
