Faulty vacuum cleaner never returned after repair; consumer wins Rs 3,500

A Gwalior consumer commission has held Eureka Forbes guilty of poor service after a customer’s vacuum cleaner, bought in May 2024, malfunctioned within warranty. Despite multiple repair attempts and the appliance being taken for further fixing in October, it was never returned. The company must now either repair, replace, or refund the Rs 3,699 cost, plus pay Rs 3,500 for mental agony and legal expenses.
