FSSAI bans Everest, LG from selling hing

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has issued prohibition orders against two spice companies. Everest Food Products and Laljee Godhoo and Company faced these orders for non-compliance issues. Samples of compounded asafoetida and hing powder did not meet alcohol-soluble extract requirements. Earlier reviews also found violations in other masala products from Everest. These actions highlight ongoing food safety scrutiny within the Indian market.
