Google executives reportedly got Swiss watchmaker Tudor to build a custom Pelagos edition with Google branding, setting off a wave of Silicon Valley staff showing off company-branded Tudor watches. OpenAI, Palantir, Uber and Meta have their own limited runs, commissioned by employee collector groups rather than management. Resale prices have crossed Rs 9 lakh, while Sam Altman ordered seven far pricier OpenAI watches from Swiss brand Vanguart for select staff.
