Google’s Spirit Airlines email deal faces ‘obstacle’ from flight attendants’ union

A US bankruptcy court has postponed Google’s acquisition of Spirit Airlines’ digital archives due to privacy issues raised by former flight attendants. The union expressed concerns that the agreement does not sufficiently shield employee records from AI training misuse. Google assured that any data shared would be anonymized prior to third-party access. The court plans to examine the union’s allegations before issuing a final ruling.
