Govt likely to sign BIT with Saudi Arabia

India plans to sign a bilateral investment treaty with Saudi Arabia, allowing quicker arbitration for investors. The exhaustion of legal remedies period has been reduced from five years to two years for Saudi Arabia. This decision is significant due to the interest of Saudi Aramco in investing in Indian refineries. The government aims to increase foreign direct investment inflows by making concessions in agreements.
