IIT Bombay suicide case: Sahil Wakode’s father detained on way to campus

Ravindra Wakode was detained by Mumbai Police in Bhandup while on his way to protest his son’s death. His son, Sahil Wakode, a second-year student, died by suicide on September 18. The investigation into Sahil’s death involves CCTV footage and allegations of caste-based harassment against Professor Suryanarayan Doolla. IIT-Bombay has formed a committee to examine the surrounding circumstances of his suicide.
