Indiana Supreme Court fixes land-taking payout at $20,840 in road project

Transportation authorities in Indiana sought to acquire a section of Jeremy Willis’s land for a project on State Road 11. An appraisal placed the property’s value at $20,840, with no objections raised. The Indiana Supreme Court determined that the appraisal was final according to state law. Consequently, the trial court was directed to finalize the judgment and authorize the fund release.
