Jammu court summons crime branch officer in Rs 500-crore Vaishno Devi row

A Jammu court has ordered an inquiry officer to appear with records concerning alleged fake silver offerings. Approximately 20 tonnes of silver offerings were reportedly found to be mostly inferior metals. An advocate filed a complaint seeking an FIR and investigation into the alleged misappropriation. The court directed the inquiry officer to present relevant records on July 29, 2026.
