Former footballer Joey Barton has been remanded in custody after an alleged assault on Kevin Lynch at Huyton and Prescot Golf Club in Liverpool. Lynch suffered serious facial injuries and may lose sight in one eye. Barton and Gary O’Grady face grievous bodily harm charges. On the same day, a court also ordered Barton to pay damages to Eni Aluko.
