MakeMyTrip ordered to pay Rs 48,775 after two booked hotels found non-existent

A consumer commission ordered MakeMyTrip to refund Rs 18,775 for non-existent hotels. The complainant booked two properties which were not found at their listed locations. This led to the family sleeping in their car in sub-zero temperatures. MakeMyTrip was held liable for listing misrepresented and non-existent properties. The commission also awarded compensation and litigation costs to the aggrieved consumer.
