Prof. Avlokita Agrawal of IIT Roorkee has been selected for the National Awards to Teachers 2026 for her contributions to sustainable architecture and the built environment. An IIT Roorkee architecture graduate, she has built her academic career around energy-efficient buildings, passive design, thermal comfort and sustainable infrastructure. Her research also connects modern sustainability with traditional Indian architectural knowledge. From studying at IIT Roorkee to teaching there, Agrawal’s journey reflects a sustained commitment to greener buildings.
