‘My mother was a little upset’: CWG medallist Harjinder reveals emotional call

Indian weightlifter Harjinder Kaur revealed she first called her mother after winning silver in the women’s 69kg event at the Commonwealth Games 2026, adding that she was “a little upset” because Harjinder had been away competing for so long. The 29-year-old also said she was pleased with her consistency and proud to upgrade her Birmingham 2022 bronze to silver.
