‘My visit continues’: Macron after close shave in Syria amid explosions near hotel

French President Emmanuel Macron continued his Syria visit after explosions near his hotel. Two blasts struck central Damascus, wounding at least eighteen people earlier on Tuesday. Macron was unharmed and proceeded with his scheduled meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. Further details indicated two explosive devices detonated near the Four Seasons Hotel. No group has claimed responsibility for the recent attack in Damascus.
