Net deletions due to SIR 5.2cr (10%) in 12 states/UTs; 2 crore included in Phase 2

Over 2 crore new voters joined electoral rolls across 12 states and UTs during intensive revision, while nearly 5.2 crore names were deleted. This purification process, aimed at ensuring accurate voter lists and preventing bogus voting, resulted in 45.8 crore electors remaining. Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Uttar Pradesh saw the highest purification percentages.
