‘Project Kusha will cut India’s dependence on imported air shield systems’

India successfully tested its indigenous Project Kusha missile system recently. This development aims to create a homegrown long-range air defence capability. The system will counter aerial threats from China and Pakistan effectively. Project Kusha is designed to intercept various aerial targets up to 400 kilometers. Full military induction and deployment are expected between 2028 and 2030.
