SC asks Centre, states why retail acid sale cannot be completely banned to curb attacks

In a push for better protection, the Supreme Court is scrutinizing the government’s decision on retail acid sales, responding to demands from acid attack survivors for a full ban on the over-the-counter sale of acids. The court recommended altering sales regulations to permit purchases only by those over fifty years old and requested an update on survivor rehabilitation programs.
