Secret tracker in rare book ends up at Amazon warehouse linked to AI book processing

A rare book fitted with a hidden Apple AirTag has exposed Amazon’s secret AI training data operation. The tracker travelled from California to a Las Vegas warehouse called LAS8, where a unit known as VGT3 cuts the bindings off books, scans the pages and destroys the originals. Workers say scanning books is all they do. Booksellers worldwide are now refusing suspicious bulk orders.
