Tamil Nadu announces major housing reforms, Rs 2,883 crore plan to rebuild flats

Tamil Nadu announced initiatives to streamline building approvals and digitize land-use processes. Self-certification will expand for residential and small commercial buildings. Local body approval limits for residential and commercial projects are also increasing. A significant plan will rebuild 12,648 dilapidated flats across twenty project areas. The government will also introduce interest relief schemes for housing loan borrowers.
