‘Thank you, dear PM Modi’: Meloni signals deepening India-Italy strategic embrace

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his congratulatory message, saying the relationship between Italy and India is “stronger than ever” and highlighting their Special Strategic Partnership. Meloni has served as Italy’s PM since October 22, 2022. On Thursday, after completing 1,413 consecutive days in office, she became the country’s longest continuously serving prime minister since World War II.
