Washington couple says utility threatened power cut unless they signed easement

Liz Covert and Denis Goudie are taking a stand against the Orcas Power and Light Cooperative’s recent installation of a steel tower on their property. They claim that the easement permits only minor landscaping and not major installations. Furthermore, they contend that they received no prior notification regarding the construction set in motion in 2023.
