Born to Punjabi parents, the 27-year-old previously made history with Bayern Munich. Other Indian-origin players at the tournament include Australia’s Nishan Velupillay, DR Congo’s Samuel Moutoussamy and Qatar’s Tahsin Mohammed Jamshid.
