Building near airport? Centre plans faster height clearances, local-level NOCs

New reforms are set to expedite building height approvals in proximity to airports, streamlining the planning process for developers. They will now receive height permissions much earlier, especially in key metropolitan areas such as Delhi and Mumbai. Local urban bodies are expected to start issuing height no-objection certificates (NOCs), while automated digital tools will dramatically shorten project clearance timelines.
