A Wisconsin family will continue to own and manage nearly 1,800 acres of forest under a proposed $1.6 million conservation easement. The deal would block development, keep timber production going and open almost 1,500 acres to hiking, hunting and fishing, while also protecting part of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
